1. IN STOCK AT OUR STORE - Internet sales

All In Stock at our store (sale or regular priced) -shown on our In stock prom, formals, or Mothers pages  your order is 100% fully refundable within 8 days of our postmark to you. (Postage charges are non-refundable -it is buyers resonsibility to ship back to A Formal Choice).  All In- Stock gowns are shipped to you within 1 business day

2. IN STOCK AT MANUFACTURER gowns

are returnable with a 30% restock fee within 8 days of our postmark to you.  Postage, rush charges, and special order charges are non-refundable.  We REQUIRE measurements to order these dresses in.  We guarantee the dress is cut to, or above, the posted or quoted measurements of the dress. Please confirm dress measurements before ordering. Many of these dresses incur a $15 special order charge.

3.  Special Orders  -Bridesmaids, bridal, mothers, and specialty prom

All Special order gowns - where you choose the color and size are made especially for YOU.  These are not hanging in stock anywhere, and are non-refundable or returnable.

We work HARD to prevent any size errors and also send information on how to have certain common alterations completed.

5. What if my special ordered gowns does not fit when I get it?

We must depend on your accurate measurements to order the correct size for you. I always recommend to MEASURE TWICE!!  Even if a bridal store takes your measures, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE re-measure yourself to confirm their measures are correct when you get home.  We have had SEVERAL incidents of Bridal stores giving customers WRONG measurements.  It is always WISE to call and talk to us about the measurements and fit before ordering.

 We must order within 1/2" of your largest measure on our size charts. For Example: If your bust is 34" and waist is 27" we must order a size 8 for you, as our gowns are cut precisely to these measures (please refer to size chart at the bottom). These gowns are non-refundable as they are made especially for you. Gowns are made to be altered with open, finished 5/8" seams.  Seam allowance is not guaranteed on every seam 

Our gowns are all cut to size chart measures and not your body measurements, because of this it is TYPICAL for all gowns to need to be altered when they arrive. Normal alterations are lifting the shoulders, taking in the waistline, or adjusting the hemline. Alterations are needed on 99% of all gowns shipped out. Do not expect them to fit exactly when they arrive. They have 5/8" finished seams on the allowances- but may be clipped in curved areas. There is also seam allowance at the zipper line if you need extra room through the back.

6.  Some Common Alterations needed

1. If it fits big on the shoulders- The shoulder seam may even sit above your shoulders up to 3", this is a normal adjustment and a seamstress can bring the shoulders down to rest on your shoulders naturally. 
2. Every dress we sell has a built in Bra, these cups can easily be picked out and are not necessary to keep in the gown.  It will give you approximately 1/2" of room at the bust when removed-
3. The waist can be adjusted in or out according to the fit you desire. 
4. Hemlines can be raised or lowered. 

We suggest finding a reliable Independent Seamstress in your area to alter the gowns. Many areas also have Dry Cleaners who have alteration specialists that can do the job. Bridal stores are considerably more expensive and take much longer.

 7.  A Formal Choice will refund or replace the gown if:

1. Gown is defective 

2. Gown does not measure the posted measurements on our website. When returned the gown will be hand measured and compared to the measurements or size ordered, if dress is within 1/2" of posted measurements no refund will be given.

3. Knowing the measurements of the customer and they are kept on file, A Formal Choice recommended to purchase a smaller size than the customers measurements. EXCEPTION if it is noted on order that customer agrees, and knows, alterations will be needed when gown arrives and may be too large/small because measurements are too large/small for one specific area of the body- this will then be exempt. .

4. A wrong size/ color / style is ordered by A Formal Choice

   Section 2

A Formal Choice will Re-Order a Special Order Gown at a reduced cost for the customer when a gown does not fit properly due to the following circumstances:

1. Improper measurements were taken by customer
2. Wrong size selected by customer
3. Customer selected a size that A Formal Choice advised against

• Postage & Rush for all gowns under Section 1 will be paid for by A Formal Choice 
• Postage & Rush for all gowns under Section 2 will be paid for by Customer. 
• Gowns under section 2 cannot be altered in ANY WAY When returned to AFC. Gowns under section 1 can be returned if alteration attempts that are pre-approved by A Formal Choice fail. 

The fastest we can get a replacement gown to a customer is 5 weeks.

 The reduced cost of replacement gown will not include  Quick Delivery charge and Postage- these will be additional charges.
